The Mayo Clinic

The Mayo Clinic is a not for profit organization that has locations in Jacksonville, Florida, Scottsdale and Phoenix, Arizona, as well as Rochester, Minnesota. The focus of the Clinic is to provide a wide range of care for patients. The Clinic has physicians on staff with specialities in every field. The physicians are a part of this unique group because they firmly believe that their patients are the priority. The Mayo Clinic is also in the cutting edge of research and development in efforts to improve patient care. They do not however receive any royalties for any of their findings and are governed by a "33 member board of trustees" that non bias and non competitive.

I am very interested in working for the Mayo Clinic of Jacksonville because of the unique style of care that is offered to patients. I am attracted to the philosophy that the patients are the focal point of the clinic rather then profit. I want to be part of the research and development in up and coming methods to improve patient care. Working in a hospital like setting is something I would like to do in order to not only be able to have patient interaction but to also be able to work with a large number of professionals who are specialized in different field and who have different experiences. I would find the most reward and the most growth in an environment that has such diversity and potential. I would like to have the opportunity to make a difference in lives of patients and I believe that the Mayo Clinic would help me in achieving that goal.
